My amazing trip to Badrinath

Hi friends, today I want to share with you my trip to Badrinath. Just before the Uttarakhand tragedy happened in 2013.

Instead of driving my own vehicle. I took a public transport from Delhi ISBT. I thought it will be fun. Actually it was very adventurous but very tiring also.

I get into the bus on May 24, 2013 at around 11 PM from Delhi ISBT. Actually no public transport directly go to badrinath thats why I went something like this.

Delhi>Kotdwar>Pauri>Badrinath (and back to delhi from same route)

You must be thinking why I didnt took a public transport from kotdwar directly to badrinath. Ummmm just to make my trip more happening.

When I sat in bus at 11PM. I thought that I will reach kotdwar around 4AM. But I was wrong. The bus driver was not good he took 3 extra hours to reach kotdwar. Sometimes I felt he is feeling sleepy. Thank God we reached kotdwar. But now the real pain started. Now I have to take a cab from there to reach Pauri. It took around 2 hours to hire a cab. A public cab. We started from kotdwar around 9 a.m.

As my travel by bus was not enough. My cab's engine got stuck after 30mins of journey.

I waited for around 1 hour wishing it will be fixed. But no success. Then I took lift in another cab, in which my cab driver helped me.

On the way to Pauri. I saw very beautiful scenic views of Ghumkhal, Satpuli etc. I was so energized and refreshed from those views that I forgot all my tiredness.

The next morning from Pauri I started my journey to Badrinath. But now I was lucky to have my aunty and his son with me in their vehicle. They made their plan because of me.

Sharing some pictures with you, which I took on my way to badrinath. It took around 10hrs. to reach Badrinath from Pauri. Here are the pics.

This mountain is called SLEEPING BEAUTY.

This mountain is called HAATHI PARVAT or Elephant Mountain

Some more beautiful views on the way.

This is how we reached Badrinath. We enjoyed a lot. Somewhere the condition of roads were not good. But most of time roads were quite nice.

Too be continue.....
